Deleting a Sync

Deleting a Sync stops conversions from being forwarded to that destination. It’s reversible only by recreating the Sync from scratch.

Where to delete a Sync
Tracking → Syncs → click the Sync → Settings tab → scroll to the Delete sync section at the bottom of the page.

Steps

  1. Open the Sync.

  2. Scroll to the Delete sync section.

  3. Read the warning carefully.

  4. Click Delete sync.

  5. Confirm the action when prompted.

What gets deleted

  • The Sync itself, including its settings and conversion goals

  • The link between the domain(s) and the destination through this Sync

The destination, the domains, and any historical conversions that were already sent remain in place. You can recreate a Sync with the same domains and destination at any time.

When to delete vs leave alone

  • Delete. When you no longer want this domain → destination pairing to forward data, or when you’re consolidating multiple Syncs into one.

  • Don’t delete. If you only want to pause forwarding temporarily, keep the Sync — Metrion doesn’t have a separate pause control today, but recreating a Sync requires re-selecting goals and settings, so deletion is more disruptive than it sounds.
