Choosing your CMP

Your CMP — Consent Management Platform — is the cookie banner that asks visitors for tracking consent. Metrion needs to know which one you use so it can read the visitor’s choice and respect it.
Why it matters
Every conversion Metrion captures is tagged with the visitor’s consent state. If consent was granted, the conversion is marked as “Consented” and full data is forwarded; if denied, the conversion is marked “Blocked” and limited or no data leaves Metrion. The CMP setting tells Metrion where to read that consent state from.
Supported CMPs
The Choose CMP dropdown on an installation’s Generic section lists every supported option:
Complianz
Cookiebot
Cookiepal
Cookiefirst
Cookieyes
Custom CMP
OneTrust
CookieConfirm
ShopifyCmp
Custom CMP
Pick this option if you use a CMP that isn’t listed, or a homegrown consent banner. You’ll need to configure how Metrion should detect the consent state for your specific implementation — reach out to support if you need help wiring this up.
Changing your CMP
If you switch CMPs, update the dropdown to match the new platform and click Save. Recently captured conversions retain the consent state they were tagged with at the time, so the change only affects future events.
