Deleting an installation

Deleting an installation removes the tracking setup, its domains, and its destinations from your workspace. It’s permanent and cannot be undone.
Before you delete
Confirm:
You no longer need to track conversions for any domain in this installation.
There are no Syncs attached to it. Installations with active Syncs cannot be deleted; remove the Syncs first.
The Metrion plugin has been removed from the shop, or you don’t mind it sitting unpaired.
How to delete
Open the installation: Tracking → Installations → click the installation card.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Delete installation section.
Read the warning carefully.
Click Delete installation.
Confirm the action when prompted.
What gets deleted
The installation and all of its settings
All domains attached to it
All destination connections attached to it
Any plugin pairing — the plugin will stop sending data because the installation no longer exists
Historical conversions captured before deletion are also no longer accessible. If you need that data, export it from Reporting before deleting.
Common mistakes
Deleting before removing Syncs. If a Sync is still attached, the delete button is greyed out. Delete or move the Syncs first, then delete the installation.
Deleting the wrong installation. Especially in agencies with many similarly-named installations. Double-check the name and ID at the top of the page before confirming.
