Conversion details

Conversion details show everything Metrion knows about a single conversion: how it was tracked, which attribution data it carries and what the order is made of. Conversion details are included in the Plus and Pro plans.

Where to find them

  1. Open the Reporting tab in Metrion.

  2. Click a conversion to open its details.

What you see

  • Original tracking per channel: for each ad channel, whether the original tracking (the front-end tag in the browser) fired for this order.

  • Metrion's enhancement: confirmation that Metrion enhanced the order with all available data before sending it to the channel.

  • Attribution information: all attribution data linked to the conversion, such as click IDs.

  • Order breakdown: how the order value is built up, such as shipping costs and VAT.

Original tracking and Metrion's enhancement

Most shops track conversions with a tag in the browser. That tag can miss conversions, for example because of ad blockers or browser restrictions. Metrion sends each conversion from your shop's data and adds all the data it has.

In the conversion details you see both sides. If the front-end tag fired, the original tracking worked and Metrion enhanced the order with extra data. If it didn't fire, Metrion still sent the conversion to the channel.

When to use it

  • To check why a conversion does or doesn't show up in an ad channel.

  • To see which click ID or other attribution data was sent with an order.

  • To understand how an order's value was built up.
